Most firms separate operations
and marketing. We build them together.
The systems that run your organization and the brand that communicates it are the same problem. Treating them separately is why so much capacity-building work doesn't stick.
One engagement, not two vendors working from different assumptions.
We don't just advise — we build systems teams actually use.
Deep experience across recovery, reentry, and underserved communities.
Hourly, project-based, or fractional executive support — sized to the need.
Technology and AI in service of human-centered workflows, not the reverse.
We don't create dependency — we create sustainability.
Rooted in Adinkra wisdom.
Extraordinary work,
impossible constraints.
Across sectors, nonprofit and small-business leaders stretch limited budgets, navigate uncertainty, and balance care for their teams with the growing demands of those they serve.
If any of these sound
familiar, start here.

more than their capacity.
For founders who need organized systems, delegation, automation, and a consistent brand.
For teams facing capacity constraints, reporting demands, staff turnover, and fragmented infrastructure.
For programs needing participant tracking, data systems, curriculum, coordination, and stakeholder reporting.
For partners seeking scalable capacity-building, technical assistance, and grantee infrastructure support.
Tools & strategies that make
the work sustainable — not heavier.

Building
a Legacy.
How OWL helped launch and scale My Legacy Group — transforming a vision into a structured, fundable nonprofit delivering transitional housing for youth aging out of foster care.
A clear purpose,
early-stage barriers.
MLG launched with an urgent mission — transitional housing and life-skills support for vulnerable youth in Prince George's County, Maryland — but faced real barriers between vision and impact.
A full-spectrum buildout —
advising and building.
Value proposition, funding strategy, partnership pipeline.
Workflows, data, compliance, and communications.
Mission, voice, visual language, and public positioning.
Resident journey and evidence-based service curriculum.
One connected,
AI-powered system.
We built MLG's operations as one connected ecosystem — from intake, to a public front door, to insight, with nothing falling through the cracks.
CaptureGoogle WorkspaceIntake forms, resident tracking, budgets & SOPs — Forms, Sheets, Docs & Drive.
OrganizeNotebookLMAn AI knowledgebase over every SOP, budget and policy — answers grounded in MLG's own documents.

Institutional knowledge turned into a documented system — each procedure assigned to a role, not a person, so nothing walks out the door when someone does.

A differentiated position in foster-youth transitional housing.
Systems and frameworks designed for sustainable growth.

A brand built
to feel like home.
We gave My Legacy Group a complete identity — an MG monogram with a home built into the letterform, a warm palette, and colourways for every context.
- Logo suitePrimary lockup, standalone monogram & a circular badge.
- Colour paletteForest green, terracotta, gold & sage — warmth and stability.
- Home motifA door and roofline built into the “M” — belonging, by design.

A brand kit is the complete, reusable toolbox that keeps you consistent — from a business card to a billboard.

The questions
we hear most.

OWL is a Black queer-owned virtual operations, brand development, and strategy firm. We help organizations build clearer systems, stronger communications, and the internal structure needed to grow sustainably.
We primarily support nonprofits, community organizations, small businesses, entrepreneurs, workforce programs, and recovery or reentry initiatives. We also partner with funders and institutions seeking capacity-building support for the organizations they serve.
OWL connects operations, technology, branding, and strategy rather than treating them as separate services. We do more than complete tasks — we help build repeatable systems your team can continue using.
Our services↗ include virtual operations support, workflow and process audits, SOP development, CRM and business-system setup, Google Workspace optimization, AI integration, brand development, website design, and digital marketing support.
Yes. Services are available individually, as defined projects, or as ongoing support. Clients can begin with one immediate need and expand the engagement as their priorities evolve.
Yes. Monthly virtual operations and brand support are available for organizations that need reliable follow-through, system maintenance, project coordination, or communications assistance.
Through The Parliament, OWL provides part-time executive-level support across operations, technology, communications, brand management, sustainability, and social impact. This gives organizations strategic capacity without hiring several full-time executives.
We help founders move important processes out of their heads and into clear workflows, documented systems, and shared tools. We can also strengthen the brand and marketing systems needed to support growth.
Yes. We review how your team uses platforms such as Google Workspace, Airtable, Monday.com, CRMs, and project-management tools, then recommend how to simplify, connect, or improve them.
Usually not. OWL prioritizes improving what already works and only recommends new tools when they solve a clear operational need.
We reduce administrative strain by organizing workflows, documenting procedures, improving reporting systems, and managing recurring operational or communications tasks.
Yes. We can help establish program workflows, participant-tracking systems, documentation, dashboards, reporting processes, and communications materials that support grant implementation and accountability.
Yes. We connect data, storytelling, brand messaging, reports, websites, and digital marketing so stakeholders can better understand the value of your work.
Yes. We design connected workflows for intake, attendance, referrals, services, outcomes, and stakeholder reporting using tools such as Google Forms, Sheets, Airtable, and Monday.com.
Yes. Our work may include curriculum development, digital literacy training, workforce-readiness systems, facilitator resources, and implementation plans.
Yes. We can build shared workflows, referral systems, communication structures, and reporting processes that improve coordination across partners.
Funders can engage OWL to provide technical assistance, operational audits, digital infrastructure, training, and implementation support for grantees or community partners.
Yes. Our audits examine workflows, documentation, technology, staff capacity, data practices, brand communication, and readiness for growth.
Yes. OWL can support agencies, educational institutions, collaborative initiatives, and other partners that need structured implementation, coordination, or capacity-building services.
Most engagements begin with a discovery conversation↗ or focused audit. We identify the problem, clarify priorities, recommend an approach, and provide a defined scope of work.
Virtual operations and branding services may be provided hourly, as a fixed-scope project, or through a monthly engagement. Fractional executive services are priced separately according to the roles, capacity, and level of strategic involvement required.
Yes. OWL is designed to deliver professional support virtually, allowing us to work with teams across locations while maintaining clear communication, documentation, and accountability.
Yes. Training, documentation, and knowledge transfer are central to our approach so the systems remain useful after implementation.
You do not need to diagnose the solution before contacting us↗. Share what feels difficult, repetitive, unclear, or unsustainable, and OWL will help identify the most practical starting point. Send us a question↗ if a short answer is all you need, or work through the Project Scope Assessment↗ if you are ready to map it out properly.
There are two ways in. If you already know you want to work together, the Project Scope Assessment↗ takes about 8–10 minutes, adapts to your answers, and tells us what we need to know before we meet — so the first conversation starts further along. If you would rather talk it through first, schedule a discovery conversation↗. Either way, OWL will recommend an audit, single-service project, ongoing virtual support, or fractional leadership engagement.
Tell us what
you’re working on.
A defined project, a partnership in mind, or a problem you can’t quite name yet — all of it is worth sending. We read every message ourselves and reply to each one. If you already know the shape of the work, the Project Scope Assessment asks the fuller set of questions.
Let's identify what your
organization needs next.
Begin with a discovery call to discuss your current systems, brand, capacity gaps, and priorities. We'll recommend the most practical next step — whether that's an audit, a single-service project, ongoing virtual support, or fractional leadership.

A short guided intake that replaces the back-and-forth of a first email. Seven steps, about 8–10 minutes, and it only asks what applies to you — the questions change based on your earlier answers.
It opens with who you are and how you would rather be reached, then works through what is not working, what you want to change, and what you are working with. If a term is unfamiliar there is an information button beside it that explains it in plain language, so nothing depends on knowing our vocabulary.
You still get a conversation — this just means it starts further along. Instead of spending the first call establishing context, we arrive already knowing your setup and can talk about what to do about it.

The recurring work that keeps an organization legible — inbox and calendar triage, document control, meeting notes, project tracking and the follow-through that turns decisions into completed tasks.
Delivered fully remotely and fully documented, so you always know who owns what and where things stand. See the day-to-day in practice and what working with us looks like.

One connected ecosystem instead of a drawer of disconnected tools — Google Workspace as the backbone, Airtable and Monday.com for structured work, and a CRM shaped around how your team actually sells or serves.
Forms feed spreadsheets, dashboards aggregate automatically, and staff are trained to put AI to work against their own data. Our tool stack is costed and documented, and this is what it looked like for MPAC.

A full identity system — logo suite, palette, type, motif and voice — then the website, collateral and campaign material that carry it, so a small program reads as credibly as an established institution.
Built as a kit your team can keep using: usage rules, every file format, and templates for the things you publish weekly. See the My Legacy Group identity, three program brand kits and the print collateral.

The scaffolding a funded program needs to run and to report: intake and participant tracking, attendance and referral workflows, evaluation instruments, and reporting that stands up to a funder reading it closely.
Plus the documentation that makes it survivable — SOPs, curriculum, facilitator resources and stakeholder coordination. See the SOP cabinet we built for MLG and the assessment for Code in the Schools.

Executive-level judgement without an executive-level payroll. The Parliament is a coordinated network of socially conscious consultants, engaged part-time and briefed as one team rather than a set of disconnected contractors.
Seven functions are covered — operations, technology, culture & HR, marketing, development, social impact and sustainability — so an organization can add the specific seniority it is missing. Pricing works differently here than for hourly or project work: it is set by the roles, capacity and level of strategic involvement required.
